Frequently asked questions

How I make candles?

The wax received from the beekeeper, I crush into pieces. Then I make a water bath to melt the wax. Wax is carefully heated in a water bath using a temperature regulator. I do not filter out wax to preserve the natural ingredients in the product. Then I pour the wax into molds and leave time for hardening. After hardening the product, I carefully remove the candle from the mold and check the quality. Then I prepare the personalized packaging and ship it.

What is a part of natural candles?

Only beeswax!
Bees produce wax with special wax glands to build honeycombs. In wax cells, insects grow their babies and store honey. The highest quality wax is obtained from zabrus - wax caps, which seal cells with mature honey. Before the honey is pumped out, the beekeeper cuts off these caps. Natural wax candles have a characteristic smell of honey.

Where I get natural wax?

I use natural beeswax from my own apiary, which I collect at the end of the honey collection season. On average, one bee family produces 3-4 kg of wax per season. Under favorable conditions, a strong bee family can produce up to 7 kg of wax per year.
If the supply of wax for candles is not enough, then I get from local beekeepers. Apiaries are located in ecologically clean areas far from the carriageway and population.

What is included in colored candles? (black, red, etc.)

The composition includes natural beeswax and a special dye for candles.

Which wick do I use?

I use a special 100% cotton thread.

How long can natural wax be stored?

Beeswax is a very environmentally resistant product. It can be stored for thousands of years without noticeable changes while preserving all its properties.

Are wax drops well removed?

Like any wax product, candles do not tolerate hot weather, so do not leave them in the scorching sun. Be also careful when placing candles next to each other for the same reason: the heat from one of them can melt the other. Therefore, place candles at a distance from each other. The rest of the candles do not require any special care.
But what if the candle wax nevertheless spilled and dripped? Drops of wax are usually removed with plain hot water. If you need to clean the candlestick, then as an alternative, try to hold it for some time (about an hour) in the freezer - the remnants of the wax will easily bounce off as soon as you remove it from the refrigerator. If the wax is not so easily removed, it is worth considering its quality.

What say medicine about natural wax?

Wax has long been used in medicine, knowing about its anti-inflammatory, emollient, wound healing and expectorant properties. It is part of candles for ears and suppositories. In addition, I use herbs and propolis for making.

Why is beeswax more expensive?

During its life, under favorable living conditions, one working bee generates wax equal to half its own weight. Roughly speaking, 10 thousand healthy bees can produce half a kilogram of wax throughout their lives. For a person who is engaged in beekeeping and collecting honey from them - this is a gift. Therefore, given the fact that a huge number of bees produce not so much wax during the summer season, it becomes clear that its price is increasing for the manufacturer of wax candles.

Gift wrapping and packaging

What type of packaging do we use?
I pack my candles in tissue paper to avoid damage. In addition, I enclose personalized packaging, if this service is in the order. I put all the products in a craft box or a large bag and take it for delivery.

Where does the walnut tree grow?

Our tree grows in the yard of a grandmother's house. She takes care of him annually. Walnut trees are usually fertilized 2 times a year - in spring and autumn. Nitrogen fertilizers are added in the spring, and potash and phosphorus are added to the soil in the fall, before plowing the land. We collect the nuts when the outer green shell begins to crack. After harvesting, we keep the nuts in the cellar for up to a week, then we clear them of the softened and blackened pericarp. There is a lot of IODINE in the walnut pericarp. After cleaning, we wash the nuts in water and dry in the sun. Then it are ready for wintering.

Can I get a personal discount?

Of course. You can mark any product you like and add to the basket. Thus, you get a guaranteed discount in your basket.

Can i get perfect whole sets walnut halves?

Yes, of course!
Just leave your comments in order.
